About

This blog is run by Andrew McCornack, a spritely fellow lost in the hubbub of lower Manhattan. Andrew, who prefers the first person singular, writes:

I have lived and worked in the US, UK, France, Lebanon, and Guatemala; and over the years I have become increasingly interested in the things people do with their garbage. As an over-educated fellow with degrees in Social Anthropology and Environmental Policy, I am constantly pondering the things people do, the things they say they do, and the things they wish they did.

The title of this blog takes inspiration from Shakespeare’s As You Like It, when Celia describes the King’s fool, saying:

“…for always the dullness of the [blogger] is the whetstone of the wits. How now, wit, whither wander you?”
